In the early 1900’s scientists found a monkey with the Zika virus and were worried it would spread to humans but it did. If you get bitten by a mosquito carrying the zika virus you might get a fever, eye infection, sore joints, a rash or if pregnant a deformed baby. But most of the time you don’t even know you have it and nobody’s ever died from it. It started in Brazil and has spread to nearly 30 countries but scientists say is very unlikely for it to spread to Australia and the real worry is the Olympics are in Brazil this year.
